2017 Breeders Cup Classic Predictions

And now to the Grandaddy of them all the Breeders Cup Classic the richest race in the US. It features the best horses 3-years-old and up going a mile and a quarter on the dirt track. This race sometimes determines who will win the Eclipse award for best 3-year-old. Previous winners of this race include the last Triple Crown Winner American Pharoah who won this race by the greatest margin of victory 6 3/4 Lengths. Keeping in mind this race has been run since 1984 and there has been only one repeat winner and that was Tiznow.  Some of the other winners of this race are Zenyatta and Arrogate who will try and be the second repeat champion in this race. Heres the rest of the field.

Summary – Arrogate will he be able to produce his “A” race at Del Mar if he does he will win and win big. War Decree not as strong as his stablemate Churchill but he did win a synthetic race in prep for this one. Win the Space went off 74-1 in last years Classic and eased up, finished 3rd in the awesome again. War Story, he has good ability but has shown multiple times he not ready for this level. Gun Runner has been in raging form since losing to Arrogate in Dubai but is 0-3 all time going longer than 10 furlongs. Mubtaahij won the awesome again off a long layoff, in his first start for new barn and adding blinkers Still must improve to compete.

Churchill returned to top form in his last race but am questioning whether he will like the dirt and the distance. West Coast this year’s best 3-year-old deserves a look but he may have it rough against tougher opponents. Gunnevera surprising that he was second in the Travers but was badly overmatched and will be here as well. Pavel this 3-year-old is long on talent but is still a year away from wreaking havoc maybe next year will be a super contender. Collected upset Arrogate at the Del Mar Pacific Classic going 10 furlongs and is 8-11 in his career legitimate contender.  [EspoTwitter]
