Orlando Magic Continue Streak After Surviving In Memphis
The Orlando Magic traveled to Memphis on Wednesday night, to take on The Memphis Grizzlies. Both teams are sitting at (5-2) to begin the season. This is a surprise to a majority of the league, especially the first place Magic. In fact, the Orlando Magic sit tied, with Boston, for first. They were looking to continue the streak against the Grizzlies after having multiple comebacks. With Fournier and Gordon stepping up and leading the team, the Magic were going to need all the help to escape with a win in Memphis.
With the stadium piling in with fans and supporters of the Grizzlies, the Magic put on the pressure to start the game. Getting big-time plays for Fournier and Gordon, the Magic were able to stay close in the first half. It was tie game at 54-54 going into the locker room. Knowing that being on the road and tied at halftime, the Magic knew they could still win this game. After making the proper adjustments at the half, the Magic took the floor again. Hence, they came out with the spark that ultimately helped them to win the game. The Griz outscored the Magic in the fourth quarter. Big time rebounds and contested shots from Fournier, Gordon, and Ross, helped them stop the comeback from Memphis. With this win against Memphis, Orlando remains tied with Boston for first place.
