Summary: Iron Fist comes into this race off of his best season yet. He is a pace presser and is a decent long shot from off the pace. Giant Expectations got into this by winning a one-turn race, his two-turn races leave something to desire. Sharp Azteca will likely be the pacesetter and will be under pressure from Iron Fist, Delmar is kind to early pace at one mile from the summer meet, a big threat. Gato Del Oro lightly raced horse who already was no match for Battle of Midway twice. Awesome Slew will be coming fast at the end of the race if Iron Fist and Sharp Azteca are in a hotly contested duel we will see Awesome Slew coming home to win.

Mor Spirit by far the best+fastest in the field a Bob Baffert trained horse is by far the class of the field. Cupid another Baffert horse came back to earth last 2 races have been ordinary has won at Delmar before. Accelerate the sneaky second choice in this race, the horse has improved since adding blinker and has improved since 3rd in this race last year. Battle of Midway 3rd in the Kentucky Derby only has 1 start at Delmar and was his career best. Practical Joke is 5-5 in one turn races and 0-5 in two-turn races but has earned 1.6 Million in 4 tries in the money at two turns.
