NFL Trade Rumors: Five Possible Players to be moved by the deadline

With the trade deadline for the National Football League just 5 days away, there could be some legit action over the next couple of days. Many players have already been the rumor of trade talks. Are they probable? More than likely they are not. However, there are a few that could be. We will take a look at 5 possible NFL Trade Deadline targets and their destinations. (These are not in any particular order)

  1. Duane Brown – T, Houston Texans

Brown recently ended his holdout from the team over a new contract. He did not get the new contract he was seeking either. There are several teams that are in need of help along their offensive line. Any team that would attempt to trade for Brown would possibly have to give up a first-round pick along with signing him to a new deal. He would be a solid addition to any team wishing to make an improvement along their front.

Possible Trade Partners: Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks, Philadelphia Eagles

  1. Terrelle Pryor – WR, Washington Redskins

The Redskins signed Pryor to an $8 million contract in the offseason. He has, to this point, not lived up to that contract. His route running is not up to par, he short arms balls over the middle, and he just has not been on the level he advertised himself at. Pryor recently lost his starting spot and could see less playing time. He has been the subject of rumors. The Redskins could use him as trade bait to improve their injury-riddled defense.

Possible Trade Partners: Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears

  1. Devonte Booker – RB, Denver Broncos

The RB situation in Denver has taken on a new toll again. Last season, once CJ Anderson went down the running game went bye-bye. This season, the run game is once again an issue. However, it is because of the offensive line, not because they have no one to tote the rock.

Why is Booker in trade talks? Well, the Broncos signed Jamaal Charles in the offseason to a 1 yr deal. He has been better than advertised upon returning from his knee injury. This makes Booker the more expendable of the backs.

Possible Trade Partners: Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants

  1. Matt Forte – RB, New York Jets

Forte was the subject of trade talk in the offseason. He is getting up in years but could be a solid veteran addition to a playoff contending team. Forte still has the ability as a solid third-down back. He could also spell a team’s starting back from time to time as well. The Jets could use draft picks in the coming drafts to help aid in rebuilding. Forte would probably come on the cheap as well.

Possible Trade Partners: Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers, New York Giants

  1. Cordy Glenn – T, Buffalo Bills

Though the Buffalo Bills have been a surprise in the NFL this season they could still use some improvement. Glenn would be a piece that they could move to make that improvement. Glenn is a veteran of 5-yrs and would be able to help in the same ways as Houston Texans T Duane Brown. The question would be what the Bills would be looking for in compensation for the big tackle. Would a team budge?

Possible Trade Partners: Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks, New York Giants

These players and more have been the subjects of trade rumors throughout the offseason and now. As we stated the NFL Trade Deadline is Tuesday, October 31st. How much movement will we see between now and then? Stay tuned.
