Fanduel NFL Week 6 Mon-Thu Slate: Stack Panthers including TE Ed Dickson

TE Ed Dickson (CAR, $5,200) may be a sneaky DFS play on FanDuel NFL Week 6 Mon-Thu slate. A strong performance by a low owned player like Dickson would give you a huge advantage in the small two-game slate.

Dickson will be the contrarian play on a slate that features Zach Ertz (PHI, $7,200), Kyle Rudolf (MIN, $6,400), and Zach Miller (CHI, $5,900). Dickson, however, has played at a high level recently as there appears to be an emerging chemistry between him and QB Cam Newton (CAR, $8,400).

Dickson caught all five of his targets for 175 yards and scored 20 FanDuel points on Sunday. Although a large chunk of those yards came in two catches (57 and 64 yards), he has averaged over 20 yards a catch for two consecutive weeks.

The Eagles defense through five games is ranked 4th worst against the pass with an average of 283.2 passing yards allowed per game.

Dickson’s low cost can make QB Cam Newton affordable and is a good stack. Newton has thrown for 671 yards and six TDs with one INT over the last two games and scored 34.7 and 26.2 FanDuel points respectively.

If you want to load up with the max four players from the Panthers offense, consider two of three: WR Kelvin Benjamin (CAR, $7,200), WR Devin Funches ($6,800), RB Christian McCaffrey (CAR, 7,200).

Choosing Benjamin and Funches to stack with Newton is tempting, especially considering Funches has scored a few more FanDuel points than Benjamin over the past two games. Funches, however, has a bit of a knee issue and was one of 10 players to not participate in what amounted to a walk-thru practice on Monday, according to Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer.

With that in mind, McCaffrey might be the better choice over Funches. McCaffrey allows you to capitalize on both the Panther’s air and ground game. McCaffrey is also a pass-catching back, so there is still an opportunity to double dip on points with Newton on a big play.
