Frisco RoughRiders: Bob Eubanks To Host Retro Game Show Night
The Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, has Mr. Game Show himself, Bob Eubanks in attendance Saturday night. He is the star of Retro Game Show Night at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. The Riders will also be wearing specially-themed game show jerseys, which will be auctioned off via the DASH app to benefit Frisco Fastpacs.
From the RidersBaseball.com release:
Eubanks rose to fame in the 1960s hosting The Newlywed Game, a landmark show that exposed the hush-hush of the freshly married. Eubanks also helmed Rhyme and Reason, Card Sharks, Dream House, The Diamond Head Game, Trivia Trap and Powerball: The Game Show.
Currently, Eubanks is hosting Hollywood’s Hottest Game Shows!, featuring nine fun filled games designed especially for your Casino demographics. There is no other game show on the road that is as highly produced and highly entertaining as Hollywood’s Hottest Game Shows.
I got the pleasure of speaking with Bob Eubanks at the Frisco RoughRiders game and enjoyed a few of his stories about The Beatles. In 1964 Eubanks borrowed $25,000 on his house and produced The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl Concert. This was the beginning of a 20-year concert promotion career that included The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Barry Manilow, Elton John and Bob Dylan, just to name a few. During that time Eubanks became one of the largest concert promoters in America producing over 100 concerts per year nationwide.
I loved his story of how “Let It Be” came to fruition. You can hear that, and other questions I asked, in the audio below.
There is still time to get tickets for Retro Game Show Night at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. For more information, visit RidersBaseball.com.

More on Frisco Fastpacs:
Our mission at Frisco Fastpacs is simple. We want to ensure that no child in Frisco has to endure hunger when school is not in session. Caring for kids, one pack at a time. Every week throughout the school year, we deliver individual pre-packed bags to FISD schools that include enough food for 7 meals for each qualifying child for them to eat over the weekend at home. We can only accomplish this mission with your help and the help of others. Along with donations, we are always looking for volunteers who have a servant’s heart and who want to impact and make a difference in the community. Frisco Fastpacs is based solely on donations of food & funds.
We began in 2013 and started with 1 school and 32 kids. To date, we are in 35 Frisco ISD schools and are feeding close to 700 children. If you are interested in donating to our efforts, please visit the “How to Help” page. If you have any questions or would like to get involved we would love to hear from you!
