WWE Rumors: A Fatal Four-Way for the WWE Universal title at Summerslam
While the WWE is now building towards Battleground in two weeks, there has been rumors going around for Summerslam. One of the bigger rumors going around is regarding the main event match. There have been rumblings that the main event could be a fatal four way for the Universal title.
One source has indicated that if this happens to be the case, then the fatal four way would end up being Brock Lesnar, Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman, and Roman Reigns. As we saw on RAW, Samoa Joe is set to face Roman Reigns to see who will be the Number One contender. I was thinking that in order for this to happen we would need to see Strowman interfere in the match. We were suppose to get Strowman fighting Lesnar for the title at Summerslam, but those plans were nixed when he was taken off of TV due to injuries. When Strowman went on the shelf, the plans turned into Roman Reigns facing Lesnar for the belt. The WWE originally had those two set to tango in New Orleans for Wrestlemania 34. However, in order for these four men to put on a good match, they need to have enough time. They can not be rushed because then they won’t be able to tell a good story.
I hope that the WWE decides to put the title on one of the everyday members to the roster. Putting the belt on Samoa Joe, Roman Reigns, or Braun Strowman would not be a bad thing. I have this feeling because due to RAW having low ratings, you need to have the top belt on the show more than once every few months. If the WWE goes this route, I expect this to be one of the better matches on the card.
This is just a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt
